Sleeping through the night is a luxury obtained by some and coveted by many. Through our life it is natural to experience different sleep patterns. What is unfortunate is when that pattern turns into an un-healthy rhythm, of waking up throughout the night. Without a restful night sleep we are never able to access the profound effects of the full sleep cycle. The sleep cycle has many stages including Deep Sleep, which is when we are able to nearly completely disengage from the environment. If you, like many, have a to do list full of tasks and a phone that is constantly chirping, the idea of completely disengaging from the environment probably sounds pretty good.
Let's take a moment and review Pass Through The Night and see how it can support a healthy nights sleep.
- Difficulty staying asleep
- Dream disturbed sleep
- Frequent and/or severe nightmares
- Restless agitation
- Frittering upon going to sleep and/or throughout the night
- Waking up frequently during the night
- Easily disturbed or light sleep
- Racing thoughts at bedtime
- Sensations of heat/agitation in chest upon going to sleep or periodically throughout the night
Commonly people use prescription drugs to aid in their sleep cycle. But what if you prefer a more natural route. Pass Through The Night has been in clinical use for over 20 years, with a track record of supporting a healthy nights sleep.
Chinese Medicine Theory: Pass Through the Night
Sleep disturbances of this nature are manifestations of functional weaknesses in the
"liver*" network, primarily involving the "blood*" and yin of each.
When the "heart*" is not adequately nourished with "blood*" and yin, the hun, which resides in the "eyes*" during the day and the "liver*" at night, is unable to “return” to the "liver*" , once again disturbing sleep.
When the sleeping process is frustrated or disturbed, all the "organ systems*" and their accompanying shen can become “unsettled,” leading to a myriad of emotions and disturbing dreams. The formula employs He Jiao Teng, Suan Zao Ren, and Bai Zi Ren, a traditional "heart*", "blood*" and "liver*" yin supplementation triad for dream disturbed sleep and nightmares, modified with Fu Shen, which further quiets the 'heart*' and calms the shen.
A unique feature of this formula is that by utilizing herbs that are primarily sweet, and secondarily represent all five tastes of the 'organ*' networks, the five aspects of shen and their accompanying distressing emotions and dreams are thoroughly addressed. Inability for the mind to quiet, or “shut off” for the evening’s rest
• Nourishes the "heart*" and "liver*"
• Supplements the "blood*" and yin
• Soothes the hun and calms the shen
• Returns the hun
• Quiets the "heart*"
• Harmonizes yin and yang
• Harmonizes the five shen
• "Heart blood*"/yin vacuity insomnia and difficult sleep
• "Liver blood*"/yin vacuity insomnia and difficult sleep
